Each year, the Christian Copyright Licensing International organization (CCLI), which tracks the usage of worship music in churches for copyright purposes, compiles a list of the most popular praise and worship songs based on their use in worship services throughout the United States and Canada. Top 25 Praise Songs 2009 Edition comprises the top 25 songs on the current list.

Since 1999, the Top 25 collection has been a cornerstone of Marantha! Music’s product portfolio. The 2009 edition reached a prodigious top 3 position at its peak on the charts with the nationwide support of retailers. Target stores have featured this CD on sale and Family Christian stores have made it an October Album Of The Month selection.

Top 25 Praise Songs 2009 Edition reflects the 25 most-used church songs this year. Eight of the songs on this edition of the series are making their debut on the Top 25 chart, including “Everlasting God,” “Beautiful One,” “In Christ Alone,” “Days of Elijah” and “Friend of God.” As a bonus, Maranatha! has also included five new songs that are sweeping the country, including “I Have A Hope” and “Hallelujah, We Will Sing,” produced by Dove Award-winning producer Ed Cash and performed by Maranatha! Music worship artist Tommy Walker. Other bonus tracks include “I Give” and “All Things” by Maranatha! Music artist Generation Unleashed and “Gonna Lift You Up” by Maranatha!’s Dove Award nominated Gospel artist Jonathan Butler.
